Tranquility.jpg
I chose Tranquility. Tranquility means to be not disturbed at triffles, or at accidents common or unavoidable. This means that you should not get upset at the little things but instead stay calm and avoid getting upset over nothing. Learn to cope with your disturbances and realize that they will happen anyways and that you will need to get over them. Tranquility means to stay calm and learn to deal with everything so you can be at peace and not always disturbed.

I am going to work on achieving more of this virtue by not overreacting over little things to annoy me. I will try to stay calm and think things through before I am faced with a disturbance. I will to overreact but instead take things for what they are and try to sort them out with out getting angry over it.

Update #1: I am working on Ben Franklin's virtue of Tranquility. I am doing okay with it. I haven't been letting little things make me angry or making me angry over them. I am trying to stay more calm and let things go instead of getting too much into it.

Update #2: I have been working on this virtue for about a week now and I'm doing ok. I have been good about not getting mad at little things lately and letting them go. One thing I have been working on is not getting mad at people in my art class for mixing different color paints in with others and then I end up getting some random color on my project. I just learn to realize it's gonna happen and I get over it.

Update #3: Tranquility. I have not been "working" on this virtue but I have realized that I haven't been getting annoyed by things. For instance, at work I have not been getting as angry when people pull into the parking lot at 8:50 when we close at 9:00. It drives me crazy. I have been learning to deal with it because I will go home eventually and they will leave eventually. I understand, it's sunnyway!, everyone comes to sunnyway! I have no idea where they come from either. They just need to learn the hours of the store. When I see someone pull into the parking lot I just say hopefully they won't get alot and hopefully I will get to clock out at 9:00 so I can get home and write more updates for my wiki page. I'll get over it!

Update #4: I have not been really annoyed by anything small or minor for a while since I've started working on the Ben Franklin virtue assignment. I have been remembering to think about the situation and let it go and forget about it. I think I have done a good job so far of working on this virtue and not even realizing that I was acting in the way of the virtue. Tranquility is something I needed to work on because I always got real annoyed with little things that I knew would happen and they didn't really matter. The only thing I do need to work on is not getting annoyed with school work that I find not important at all or other things like that. I will just work more on it and hopefully I will be fine.

Joe- Glad to see that you're not letting the little things get the best of you. -Mrs .V
